The school was started on November 21,1965 with the efforts of a few educators and liberals and with the cooperation of the villagers.Land for the construction of the School was donated by Late Peer Muhammad and a few other generous villagers.The teaching-learning process started with a few students with the help of some dedicated teachers under the leadership of headmaster Late Anil Kumar Hazra in the tiled roof muli-bamboo fence room.

The first recognition by The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education as two-class (V and VI) Junior High School came from 1st January,1966. After that the school recognized as four-class Junior High School from 1st January,1974.Then the school upgraded to X-class High School from the session 1995-96 and finally Higher Secondary(10+2) section in general stream started from 2005-06 session.
