History

After Independence many people from Purba Banga came here and settle around the modern day Kalyani township. Gradually small colonies had grown surrounding the Chandamari village. At that time some eminent persons from the locality felt that a school sholud be built up here for the the education of the children whose family left  their native home in Bangladesh and have settled here. At last in 1973 with the active initative of Late Rajendra Nath Halder, Sri Sambhunath Sikdrer, Harichand Mondal and many others, a school was built up here. Then there was lots of initiative taken to get the Govt recognition of the school. In 1984 the school was granted as a Junior High school. Later in 1986 the school was upgraded from junior to X class school. Almost 100% students of the school belong to the scheduled caste . In 2009  the school was given the status of Higher secondary school.

Presently, the children get the most out of their education as they are taught by a team of some professional and dedicated faculties in this State Board school. Bengali is the primary medium of instruction for this school with English as secondary medium. The school tries to provide best learning environment.

       The school provides education to students from class V to XII. The current student strength of this school is approximately 500 and there are about 500 books in the library of this school.

               The school has given exceptional results in the academic sphere and its students have excelled in extra co-curricular activities too. The perentage of students passing the exam is almost 98% with 73% scoring first grade
