
C.M.S. St. John’s High School, Krishnagar, Nadia has already celebrated 175th anniversary of the School which began on 6th May 2000 and the concluding ceremony was held on 5th May 2009. We are proud that the School is the oldest in Nadia district and one of the oldest Schools in the State of West Bengal being established in 1834, one hundred and thirteen years before our independence, by Christian missionaries at a time when there was no existence of any educational institution in the district. The School has a glorious past with a record of securing 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in the School leaving examination and also earns the distinction of securing merit Scholarships year after year. The School also produced many a distinguished doctors, lawyers, politicians, actors, sculptors, engineer, etc and still commanding a leading position in disseminating education in the State especially to the poor and marginalized section in the society which is one of the ministries of the Christians.
