History

Ranaghat Debnath Institution for Girls (H.S.) , a reputed temple of learning, started its enlightened journey by the joint endeavour of Late Radha Raman Debnath and Late Ashutosh Debnath in the year of 1968.

The school started as a junior high school by the sincere and earnest endevour of Ms. Namita Kundu, the Headmistress of that time. Then it was promoted to Madhyamik school in the year of 1974. The "Block A" of the institution was built by the personal endevour of Late Radha Raman Debnath, Late Ashutosh Debnath, Ms. Namita Kundu and some ex-teachers. Later the "Block- B" and the "Block-C" were built being aided by the Govt. of West Bengal. The ex-teachers and the ex-students helped a lot to start the H.S. section (Arts &Science).

The institution has achieved many milestones in the course of its journey to success. It is the firm belief of every teacher & students and everyone associated with this institution that this excellent center of learning will overcome all the obstacles and and achieve every milestone to lead a path of glorious golden success.
