History

         Gayeshpur Netaji Vidyamandir For Girls' was recognised by the W.B. Board of Secondary Education with effect from 1st January, 1957 as a high school and started functioning on & from 23rd January of the very year with a strength of only 12 teachers. After running successfully for a few years, it was elevated to a Higher Secondary School (old H.S. i.e. upto class- XI) with Arts stream and thereafter again elevated to a XII standard Higher Secondary School in the year 1999 with the affiliation of W.B.C.H.S.E.

         Initially, it was a Govt. Aided school but presently it is recognised as a Govt. Sponsored School.
