History

Bhagabati Smriti Vidyamandir High School (H.S.) standing in a remote village of Amdanga, North 24 Parganas has been imparting the light of education among the down-trodden, poverty-stricken pupils of Moricha Gram Panchayet, Srikrishnapur Gram Panchayet and its surrounding areas since last five decades. This institution was a continuous effort of local people, social workers, educationists and local bodies who are still helping to be what it is now. School authority is expressing heartiest gratefulness to them.

Our school was established in 1972, although it was recognized in 1986 by Education Department, Government Of West Bengal. It was upgraded to secondary school in 2004-2005. Later it was granted for higher secondary curriculum in the year 2014-2015. ICT Department also helped us to computer education by donating in 2014. The rotary club of Calcutta has put out their helping hand to regulate e-learning class from 2019.

With the continuous effort of the teachers, non-teaching staffs, students’ endeavour, appropriate curriculum, rules and regulations, guardians’ and local people’s help, the institution is prominent to dispose healthy ideas and thoughts to the students.

Co-curricular activities are performed regularly. Annual sports, football tournaments and historical days, birthdays of great persons  are observed and celebrated with honour and enthusiasm.
