History

Jafrabad Swami vivekananda vidyapith (High school) initiated its journey with a handful of students at the out skirts of Barasat aiming to achieve the motto of Swami vivekananda's concept Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man. Enlighting Vivekananda's idealism our school was established in 1965 by the enthusiastic and heartiest effort of Pally Seva Sangha at Jafrabad village emphasizing residential Learning institution amidst peace and clamourlessness .

With continual effort of a few educationists and persons interested in education the school gaind ints first Govt. Recognition on 1st January in 1967 as four –class V-VIII Jr. High-School. Since then teaching learning process along with all types of socio-cultural activities, sports, social responsibilities have been smoothly performed by the institution. Special thinking to ‘Pally Seva Sangha' it is remarkable to say that on the land which Pally Seva sangha donated , the three -storied glorified building having Library, multi-gym, Mid-day-Meal Dining Hall UV drinking water and a vast green play ground has been constructed.  

On 1st May of 2005 the school has gained Govt. Recognitions High School. MLA  BEUP Grants,MPLad Grants and Grants from S.S.A have claimed thanks to modify the infrastructure of school. In 2017the school has celebrated Golden Jubilee with grandeur. A souvenir on this occasion has been published.

          From the time of foundation till today the school has achieved its excellence with honest and earnest endeavour of teaching and non-teaching staffs renoured M.C. members and bright students.
