History

The school was established in 1942. The school started its academic functioning from 1st april 1942.The land was donated by the villagers of Sankargachi post-Bamangachi Namely Hriday Chandra Ghosh,Uday Chandra Ghosh and Prasad ghosh. The first Head Teacher of this school was Bhim Chandra Ghosh as per record. It was the only Primary School in this locality .Sankargachi f. p. School is situated at Village Sankargachi of Barasat Block-1 of District-North 24 parganas at that time their is no permanent building . Now Sankargachi F.P.School is a permanent building. Now it is two storied Building it has consisted five rooms one kitchen two sets toilet for boys and girls.There is an I.C.D.S school inside of the school premises.
