History

The school was founded on the eastern bank of a big pond called Chaampa Pukur in the Raghubirpur Mouja of Kota Village some years back of gaining the first official recognition in 1973. Late  Krishnamohon Ghosh, Late Mahadev Ghosh donated the land and Haji Ashraf Ali stretched helping hands with liquid cash, whenever required, along with hundreds of people of the Kotra area, people – who lent their strong shoulders to help the institution get recognition from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education one after another, from Two Class to Four Class, from Junior High to a High School. The recognition from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education for imparting education in plus two level is a sort of dream-come-true for many. Today Kotra Anchal Adarsha Vidyapith (HS) is one of the leading educational institutions of the district, developing along the paths well charted out in the early seventies of the previous century by some noble souls, mentioned above.
