In the year 1969, some local people with the vision of a brighter future of the children of the village, established the school. One such person was Late Abur Ali Mondal, a resident of Bagbanda Saiberia, who donated 09 Katha of his land for the establishment of the school. At first there was no concrete building for the school and it started with a small house with mud walls and thatched roof. Mr. Bholanath Ghosh started serving as the first Headmaster of the school since its establishment in the year 1969. He continued serving as the headmaster of the school until he retired in the year 2010. The school received its affiliation under the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) in the year 1972. At present the school has a two-storied building having 5 rooms, 1 kitchen and 2 separate toilets for boys and girls respectively.
