History

Our school Matiagachha Free Primary School was first started with one tin-shed room. Abdul Wahab, an educated person living nearby, donated 16 'satak' land on Roy Pukur par. The school got govt affiliation on 1st March, 1942. Then gradually the school extended from one room to two rooms and then gradually to four rooms. It is now a two-storied pacca building with all the basic facilities and amenities like separate toilet for boys and girls and drinking water and electricity available.
