Mitpukuria Kabiguru Adarsha ​​Vidyayatan is the result of the sincere efforts and initiatives of the residents of the villages of Mitpukuria / Mitpukur in 1979 to provide school education to the boys and girls of the surrounding areas like Khamar Rameshwarpur (Deupukur), Majlispur, Mallik Para, Kola etc.  Where this school is today, it used to be a playground for local youth.It was established in 1974 by stalwart educationists like Jonab Mafijaddin Laskar,Sri Chitta Ranjan Ghosh( Founder Member), Sri Shachindranath Ghosh, Subal Kumar Ghosh,Sri Gopal Chandra Ghosh ( Teacher), Abdul Wadudt and others in a visionary and ahead-of-era intention to impart modern education to the young students in European and Oriental subjects  According to records, the land was owned by Dulal Chandra Ghosh, Sachindranath Ghosh and Chittaranjan Ghosh.  Mr. Sunil Ghosh signed the Deed of Acceptance as Zamindata.  The dream of the local people was soon realized through the financial support and labor of the people of all the communities in the area.  The triumph of a new educational institution began with the cries of young children and the sound of school bells.  On January 1, 1969, the school was recognized by the government and 1974 Junior High School.  The first registered government teachers of the school were Satyamohan Ghosh (Headmaster), Gopal Chandra Ghosh, Rafiq Ahmed, Golam Yaya and Abdur RazzakSmt. Diti Ghosh( Bhatta) Smt Anowara jahan.  Gobinda Charan Ghosh and Rabindranath Ghosh joined as school staff.  Subal Chandra Ghosh, Bamapad Ghosh, Yanabi Mandal and Md. Khatib Ali are among those who have stood by the students by volunteering as teachers before the government recognition.  In 2000, Mitpukuria Kabiguru Adarsh ​​Vidyayatan was upgraded to secondary level and in 2002, the first batch of students sat for the secondary examination.  From the academic year 2009-2010, there is a vocational stream for tailoring, mobile repairing and health workers for the eighth graders in the school.The ICT (Information & Communication Technology) project is going on to the students to learn and communivate with the world wide education system with the help Mostaque Ahamed , The Headmaster if this institution.  In the golden jubilee year of the school, Gobinda Charan Ghosh, a retired & 1st Clerk, built a standing platform( Open Stage) KABIGURU MUKTA MANCHA for the students.  After Satya Mohan Ghosh, Mostaq Ahmed took over as the headmaster of the school in 2005 and he is still holding the post
