History

In the year 1942 when India was under the British Rule and most of the Indians were under the burden of proverty, illiteracy and superstition, two philanthropists of Tehata village named Sk Abudur Rahaman and Sk Wazuddin felt the necessity of education that only can enliven one life and condition among our people. Accordingly, they donated a land measuring 0.44 acre beside the Bidyadhari River for setting up a new school. Thus, the school was set up with the title of Tehata F. P. School in 1942 with a single room and bamboo made fences. So the school started its journey with many difficulties. Gradually the school possessed four roooms made of mud. In the year of 1980 the old rooms were demolished and a school made with concrete building took its place with the help of many well wishers and educationalist of the area. Presently the school is smoothly running with five classrooms and a staff room under the supervision of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education department of the Government of West Bengal.
