History

The year is 1958. On the auspicious day of Dol Purnima on 14th March, the long-cherished dream which was realized through the efforts of educationist Bhabani Mohan Majumder and some able companions is Dakshin Nangla Kumra Union Institution. The co-educational junior high school of tiled roof built on bamboo and palm tree poles on 10 kathas of land was later upgraded to secondary level on January 1, 1983 and promoted to higher secondary level on July 7, 1999.
