History

Hansia Free Primary School was established on 20.09.1962 under Shyamnagar Circle. The school is situated at village- South Hansia of BKP-I Block of North 24 parganas under Kowgachi-II gram panchayat. Late Panchu Gopal Chakraborty of village Uttar Hmansia, P.S.-Shyamnagar was the first Head Teacher of the school. At that time, there was no primary school in kthe village. At first, this school had no pucca building. The new building was shifted beside that old school building in the year 2008 and the land was gifted by a person of that area. At present, the school is a two storied building. It has five rooms, one kitchen,and two toilets. Students of pre-primary to Class-V  are being taught in this school. At present, 106 students are studyiing in this school for which 05 teachers are engaged in teachiong them.
