Established in 1944, Katiahat B.K.A.P. Institution is a renowned and pioneering Institution in the Baduria East circle for spreading quality education and consciousness in the society surrounding it. From the very beginning this institution has been producing stars who are working in India and abroad with their uniqueness. Those far sighted educationists who ignited the lamp of education by setting up the institution will live immortal. ‘Nor Mars his sword nor war’s quick fire shall burn /The Living record of your memory. ‘Situated in a rural area where the people of different caste and creeds living harmoniously with no distinct dissimulation, feel the ubiquitous presence of education and send their wards to the school to see them crowned with success in the mirror of futurity. During the initial period just after the historic partition of India, our school faced a cataclysmic challenge as the massive influx of rootless humanities seeking refuge surged in crossing the so called shadow line. The aborigines inspired by their latitudinarian nature and discarding their unjustified xenophobia and bigoted susceptibility forwarded their hands of help to settle them in. The school also played a gigantic role to uplift the lives of those wretched multitudes. It was possible because the school had then a galaxy of devoted teachers who regarded their job as an oblation to their mother land. They gave the unlettered the knowledge of letters, helped the benighted emerge from the dark cave of ignorance, disabused them from ignoramus beliefs and thus built their characters and careers. In this way with unflagging vigour and unfathomable devotion the venerable teachers without any mundane desire kept themselves involved in the man making work house to create gems for the nation. On the occasion of Platinum Jubilee of the school, we all offer our heart felt gratitude and indebtedness to those great souls and hope that the school which is already on the apogee of fame, will keep itself there in future.
