History

This School was establised during 1941.The school started its academic functioning from 01st April,1942.Late Yunus Mondal S/o-Late Hajer Mondal, vill- Ghorarash, P.o- Jafarpur,P.s- Matia, Dist - North 24 Parganas was one of the respected Land Donner personality of the village.That time there was no primary school at the village.But there was a Maktab at that locality. Later the Maktab was shifted to the nearby village Ghorarash and converted to a Ghorarash Salafia Madrasa. Ghorarash Junior Basic School is situated at Ghorarash (Purbapara) of Basirhat-II Block of District North 24 Parganas under Basirhat South Circle.At the time of foundation this School had no proper pakka(concrete) building. Thereafter till date this school got additional 4 Rooms, 1 Head Teacher Room, 1 Kitchen Room, 1 Dinning Room, 2 sets Toilets for Boys and Girls from Sarva Siksha Mission.
