                                      ANKIPUR ANDULPOTA HIGH SCHOOL

HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL :

IN 70( s) decade of the last century 22 villagers of Ankipur and Andulpota villages under the leadership of Hazi Golam Sovan Mondal and Mr. NItai Pada Das resolved their desire to set up a new school for the children of the villages . For the fulfilment of their dream, each of them decided to donate one bigha of land. But all of the laid was in the fisheries . So the school building was to be set up in the area of Ankipur Primary school . It was made of bamboo structure with muddy wall and tiles- shed. 1974 the school was empaneled for recognition of the Government of West Bengal .

    But after a long period in 1999 , May 1st the school got its recognition as four class Juniour High school (class V - CLASS VIII) . But it is the irony of fate that , in the meantime , the three founder teachers of this school had left their mortal life.

1. Nitai Pada DAS : The first founder Headmaster of the school who resigned from his on going teaching service in Champapukur Primary school to set this new school                                     up.

2. Madhan Mohan Das: The next founder Head Master to their school.

3. Abu Bakkar Siddique : The founder member of the teaching stuff, teacher of Mathematics.

   They gone but never forgotten , their devotion, labour and dedication . Youngers came to fill the vacancies of these pioneers who dreamt to build up a high school in a remote Bengal village . After the death of Mr. Madhan Mohan Das .Abul Fzal Rejaul Karim took the responsibilityof the T.I.C. and run the school with the help of the founder secretary and land-donor Hazi Golam Sovan Mondal from1974 up to 01/05/1999 .

   After getting recognition, the school gradually started flourishing by the cordial co-operation of the next  generation . From 2007, one of the organizing teachers MD. Humayun Kabir took chair of the Headmaster . Under his leadership, now the school has a two -storied building on its own land with every sorts of amenities . In 2014, the school got recognition as X- class secondary school and till date the result of board`s Examination is notably good. Our students and teachers are not only  bogged in class room learning , they also take part in so many co-curricular activities. The teachers are always devoted to groom the first generation learners of the village area up and to access their all round development. At present T.I.C of this school is Sazzad Hossain .
