
SARAT CHANDRA SMRITI F.P. SCHOOL,under HASNABAD SOUTH CIRCLE, is an government-aided and govt-administered primary school,situated at Kalutala,one of the remote villages of Sundarban Area of North 24 Parganas. The school was established on 30th September,2000 by Mr. Debabrata Halder,An enthusiastic founder of the village in commemoration of his grandfather,Late Sarat Chandra Halder after donating of eight and half satak area of land. The school started its academic function with a collaborative effort of Mr. Debabrata Haldar,Mr. Arup Kumar Das,the block superintendent and the other other enthusiastic founders of the village owing to educating rural pupils. At that time ,the village-founders were about to found the school and implement its function as there was no such primary school at all for attaining basic knowledge of rural. However,it was started with a one-storied building of two rooms and a tile-shaded kitchen room and separated toilets .At that time,Mr. Krishnapada Das was engaged as Head of the institution. A few years later,an another one -storied building was constructed at the left side of it and the kitchen shade became concrete roof. Thus the rural school has been developing to all intents and purposes since then.
