History

Barunhat village which is situated 13.7 km away from Sub-District headquarter Hasnabad. After independence some people realized corners of India for social change and national uplift. To promote the education of the children of Barunhat village, Md Saharali Sardar S/o Md. Omar Ali Sardar came forward and donated his 10 Satak land in the name of South Barunhat F. P. School on 19th December, 1961. The journey of the school was started on 16th january,1962 but school building was not established then. The first 4 years schooling began with few students at the verandah of Mr. Haridas Pal's house. Later in 1966 construction of school building was started and the new school building(roof was tiled) established at the end of the year.The new building was described as only one long room like hall, on one side of the importance of the education. Education which is the backbone of any nation was necessary to spread in all the hall was teachers seating area and the rest was allocated for class I to IV standard students but there were no partition walls. However, at present there is no sign of the old building. The school building was fully renovated in between 2004-05 to 2009-10 with the fund of Sarvashikha Mission. Two new buildings with 3 Nos. separate rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom were constructed with 3 Nos. ACR. Some teachers later became Headmasters namely Sri Anil kumar Nath, Sri Bhudeb Chandra Halder, Sri Sarbaranjan Nath, Sri Abul Kasem, Sri Manchhural Haque who were associated with the school from the beginning kept their contribution for betterment of the school. The teacher of  that time(1992)who is still working tirelessly is Md. Abdur Raquib. He has witnessed different events at different times.
