History

1. Kalitala High School was established in 1961.

2. It received government recognition as a  2 class Jr. High School  in 1961.

3. The school came under the grant-in-aid scheme in 1973.

4. The school was officially approved as  a  4 class  Jr. High School in 1972.

5. In the year of  2000 the school received government approval as a  High School. 

6. The school came under the salary deficit scheme in 1978 and came into effect from 1- 1- 1979.

7. Finally , in 2013, the school became a government sponsored school  vide Memo no.2931/RMSA/SL/5S-246/12, DT-30-09-2013.
