A TRIBUTE TO NABATKATI K.M.A.C. VIDYAPITH

About 43 years ago there were no High School in our large locality comprising of five villages in the district of North 24 Parganas under Swarupnagar PS & Balti Nityanandakati Grampanchayat.The villagers permanently reside in Nabatkati, Khalsi, Mallickpur, Amudia & Chituri.In the year 1977, several wide discussions and meetings among the well wishers were held under the leadership of great educationist Mr.Gobinda Lal Gain, Ex- W.B.C.S(Executive) & a historic decision was taken to setup High School. In response to the decision, land donor respected Md Saharali Gazi donated land in the Village Nabatkati & foundation stone was laid on 17th November, 1977 by respected Sri Gobinda Lal Gain, MA(B.Ed) the then Asst Teacher of Balti High School.

Little drops of water make a mighty Ocean. In same way money donated by generous villagers of our locality & amount of money received from M.P.L.A.D, a School building cosisting of four rooms was constructed initially. On January, 1978, classes from V to VIII started running in the morning session at contiguous Nabatkati FP School school building having 5 teachers and two other staffs when the High School building was being constructed. The said teachers had been teaching inpursuance of guidelines of the Board of Secondary Education.At last the School was granted & approved up to Class VIII in the year1989. Thereafter in 2006-2007 it was agreat pleasure to know that the School was upgraded to Class -X and approved by the W.B.B.S.E. It is also heartening to learn that the School is on the way to reach Higher Secondary level of Education & awaiting permission from WB.C.H.SE. A litle dream in 1977 of the villagers of Panchapally, is now a three storied building established in our village for a High School with a beloved name Nabatkati K.M.A.C Vidyapith representing Nabatkati, Khalsi, Mallickpur, Amudia & Chituri.

It is a great achievement of the villagers & was possible only for their sincere all out efforts.
