History

After Independence there was no Madhyamik school in Sindrani. To develop education few people of this area tried to open a school. Among them Abinash Chandra Nath was the pioneer. In 1955 he donated seven bighas of land beside Duttapulia Bongaon State Highway. The school started with the single class, class V.

In the year 1962, school got affiliation from the State Government. Our first Head Master was Abinas Kapudia. Due to affiliation there was a need of Rs 3000 as security money. Abhinash Chandra Nath mortgage his pond and collected the money which was deposited. 

Sabitri Bala Debi was Abhinash Chandra Nath's wife and the people of Sindrani unanimously agreed to name the school as Sindrani Sabitri High School .Since then the school has been running smoothly. 

In 1999 the school was sanctioned as Higher Secondary by Higher Secondary Council. 

Many students of our school established as Doctors and Engineers. Now near about 2200 students are studying from class V to class XII.
