History 

Education is the most powerful weapon which one can use to change the world towards progression and bring all round development. Inculcating the motto,Meherani F.P School, situated at the brink of India- Bangladesh border, started its journey in 1954 to impart education which is our right from the birth. Since then it has been kindling the ray of education among the learners of this remote and under-developed area. The school, under Bagdah East Circle, was set up when Mr Sudhar Mondal, a kind-hearted, educationist donated the land for the school and paved a grand way for the upliftment of the little learners. The inhabitants of the area, who mainly depend on farming for livelihood, found a new hope of educating their children to live a better life. With the passage of time, the school has been moulded with new and advanced prospects. Now it has become an ideal to everyone and has been developing with the newer Education system. This primary school, with the collaborative effort of the intellectuals, social workers and local people has reached to the apex of success that everyone feels proud to be a part of this abode of knowledge. The school, along with the sincerity and sense of responsibility of the honourable Headmaster and all the Teaching  Staff, hopes to serve the society and bring positive changes continuously.
