History

Chowberia village is famous for ' DINABANDHU MITRA' the great playwrighter,who wrote the famous drama "NILDARPAN". Thats why the school named as Chowberia Dinabandhu Vidyalaya (H.S.). The school established in1949 beside of Gopalnagar- Nimtala link road by the concious peole of this village. It was started as Junior High School at the begining, and in 1983 it was developed as Madhyamik school, and in 1999 transformed as Higher secondary school. Science, Arts, Computer, Vocational streams are available in H.S. section.
