History

Bongaon Kalicharan Howlader Balika Vidhyapith(H) was founded by late Satishchandra Howlader in 1966. He bought the land for school from late Bholanath Adhikary. At first the name of the school was Sundarpur Abaitanik Junior Balika Vidhyapith. There was no building at that time. With the help of some persons ,interested in spreading education in that area Satishchandra Howlader managed to make a small school-bari made of bamboo and tally. Later Govornment aid was granted and the school was built for two classes only. After that Satishchandra Howlader changed the name to Bongaon Kalicharan Howlader Balika Vidhyapith(H). The school was upgrated to a High school in 2000.This school was started with almost 20 students and 3 staffs only and now it is a 3 storied building with 3 different blocks and about 300 students and 15 staffs.Our school is one of the most remarkable High schools in Gopalnagar circle for it's commendable performance in Academic, Cultural and sports field.
