Nutangram Subhasini High School is almost a newly upgraded high school, situated by the side of the Ichhamati in a downtrodden village Nutangram under Bongaon Sub-Division in North 24 Parganas district.

In 1966, some well – wishers of the village could realise the need of a school in the locality and came forward bare – handed to establish a school in the village. They went door to door of the village – peasants and became able to collect some money.

Two generous ladies of the village - Subhasini Devi and Kamalabala Devi, came forward with their all assets and donated two lands for the sake of the establishment of the school – now that one is named as Nutangram Subhasini High School, where hundreds of students from the poor families learn spontaneously and come out with flying colours to find their ambitions fulfilled in this vast world of struggle and competition.
