History

Naraharipur Sarada Charan Vidyapith (H.S) is the name of an emerging educational institution with new possibilities.

The history of the school dates back the freedom struggle of our neighbouring country Bangladesh. When our Neighbouring Country was fighting to build up a new nation, a new fight also fought by the eminent educationists of the India- Bangladesh border adjoined village,Chhayghariya to build up a new educated society eradicating the curse of illiteracy.

With the co-operation and co-effort of some educationists and eminent persons of Chhayghariya Gram Panchayet like – Sri Ajit Kumar Biswas, Late Amulya Ratan Biswas, Late Bholanath Sarkar, Late Jagat Chandra Biswas, Manu Bhattacharya and Matleb Mondal from Khalitpur, Bidhubhushan Bhattacharya from Haridaspur, Jonab Hazi Hazrat Karim & Keramat Ali Shekh from Jayantipur, Naraharipur Sarada Charan Vidyapith was first established as a “Junior High School” in 1973 in the donated land of Late Sarada Charan Biswas, the grandfather of Ajit Kumar Biswas.

The institution is situated just beside the National High-way No. 35 (Jessore Road) in the lap of the serene natural surroundings and at the verge of Asia's largest Land Custom Station - Petrapole (India-Bangladesh Border Checkpoint). But the instituition got its recognition as a Government Co-Ed School in 1986 as Naraharipur Sarada Charan Vidyapith (Junior High) by the continuous and tireless efforts of local educationists, School Managing Committee and the teachers of that time. Later the institution was upgraded to a Secondary School under West Bengal Board of Secondary Education in 2000. It was further upgraded into a Higher Secondary School in 2009, affiliated by W.B.C.H.S.E.

Now, the institution has become a renowned center of learning in Chhayghariya Gram Panchayet.
