History

This school was establised during 2001.  The school started its academic functioning from 13th March 2001. Sri Dulal Sarkar son of late Sri Gopal Chandra Sarkar Vill of Dharampur,P.S. – Gaighata was the land donator of the school. She was one of the respected founder personalities of the village.  That time there was no primary school at the village. . Dharampur Gopal Chandra Smriti FP School is situated at village Dharampur of Gaighata Block of District North 24 Parganas. At the time of foundation this school had no proper pakka (concrete) building.  Thereafter till date this school got additional 6 rooms ,1 teachers room, 1 kitchen and also a kitchen shade 2 sets toilets for boys and girls from SarboSiksha Mission.
