Joytara Kabiguru Vidyamandir(H.S) is a West Bengal Government sponsored Bengali medium and co-educational school situated in Joytara village under the Gaighata Circle ,North 24 Pgs.The Institution was established on 3rd January,1966 as a Junior High School, was an answer to the community's prayers. Most of our students belong to SC, ST.OBC & Minority community.

It captured the popular imagination since the moment of its foundation. Late Shri Haripada Kundu & few education lover people of Joytara village are the founder & Co-Founder of the school. From the beginning of the establishment, the Institution struggled for its existence with different adversities. The first Headmaster of the school was Late Shri Ananta Krishna Debnath, who retired in 1990.After that Shri Manoranjan Chakraborty was the Teacher in charge from 1990 to 2006.Then from 2006 to 2010 Shri Sushanta Kumar Biswas took the charge of the school as a Teacher in charge.By earnest endeavour since 1966, the glory of the school has reached to the every corner of the District. The present Headmaster Shri Kankar Sil took the charge of the school in 26th April, 2010.He is trying to develop the Academic & Infrastructural atmosphere of the school.

In 1968 the school was upgraded as Secondary school (V to X) recognized by WBBSE and in 2012 the school was upgraded as Higher Secondary School (XI-XII) recognized by WBCHSE, School Education Department, and Government of West Bengal.

The early faculty handed the batons over to a burgeoning number of teachers who were equally committed and fully trained to keep up with the changing times. A persistent commitment to excellence,success,hard work,compassion,a collaborative atmosphere and brave technological strides is a tough job but the school family-now consisting of nearly 750 students,22 teachers and 3 non teaching staff members-carries it on tirelessly every day. Every year 100% students pass in Madhyamik & Higher Secondary Examination.

Education at Joytara Kabiguru Vidyamandir (H.S) is a delightful pool of academics, assessments, co-curricular activities, sports, celebrations, excursions and a seamless interaction among the faculty, the pupils and the guardians
