History

This school was establised during 1962.  The school started its academic functioning from 22 Feb 1962. Late Haralal Bhoumik of Village Sererati, P.S. - Hingalganj was the first Head Teacher of this school. He was one of the respected founder personality of the village.  That time there was no primary school at the village. Tangra FP School is situated at village Tangra of Gaighata Block of District North 24 Parganas. At the time of foundation this school had no proper pakka (concrete) building.  However during 1983 the Lutharian Company built a pakka (concrete) building .
