History

This school was establised during 1972.  The school started its academic functioning from 2nd January 1972. Late Ashit baran Halder of Village Chikanpara, P.S. -Gaighata was the first  Teacher-in- charge of this school. He was one of the respected founder personality of the village.  That time there was no primary school at the village.  But  the  High School was shifted to the nearby village Thakurnagar and converted to a High School upto class X. Chikanpara Madhyapara R.P School is situated at village Chikanpara of Gaighata Block of District North 24 Parganas. At the time of foundation this school had no proper pakka (concrete) building.  However during 1974 the  built a pakka (concrete) building consisting of 4 rooms for this school. Thereafter till date this school got additional 2 rooms, 1 kitchen, 1 sets toilets for boys and girls from Sarbo Siksha Mission.
