Shimulpur Anandapara Narahari Vidyapith(H.S), a Government sponsored school, has long been recognised as a flag- bearing institution in terms of imparting as well as promoting quality education in Thakurnagar,  North 24 - Parganas,  a bordering district of West Bengal. Established on 2nd of January, 1970 by a few visionaries and nourished with the selfless dedication as well as contribution of the locals, the school was upgraded to Junior High School in 1971 and in 1982 it was upgraded to High School. The institution was deservingly upgraded to a Higher Secondary School by the WBCHSE in 2006. The school now offers a variety of subjects in both Arts and Science stream in the H.S section. Through its long journey from the inception the school has been catering to the needs of the students of greater Thakurnagar, most of whom emanting from families living on the periphery in the social strata, with utmost care and competence. As the name implies, the school was built in between two pristine villages, namely Shimulpur and Anandapara and with the passage of five decades the institution has not only been blessed with robust physical glory but also been placed significantly in the district's educational scenario with state - of - the - art Science, Geography and Computer laboratories,  a well- maintained library, a spacious dining hall for mid-day meal beneficiaries and a sophisticated water ATM, to name a few.
