Without education a man's life is incomplete. A man is enlightened by his education. To reach the common people with the light of education, Panchpota Bharadanga High School was established in 1962 in the refugee dominated area of Panchpota and its neighbourhood. Late Satyendranath Chowdhury and the founder headmaster Sri Madan Mohan Pradhan were among the pioneers who came forward to enlighten the locality.
The school was recognized as Junior high school in 1962. It was upgraded to high school in 1966 and to higher secondary in 1984. The govt. aided school has been turned into Govt. sponsored school in 1913. After the retirement of Sri Madan Mohan Pradhan, Sri Nihar Kanti Roy, Late Binoy Krishna Haldar, Sri Asit Ghosh,Kamal Krishna Mistri and Sri Paritosh Sarkar have led the school to its success. Sri Tushar Biswas has been appointed as new headmaster in 2019. He is leading the school with earnest sincerity and hard work for its further progress.
With the tireless endeavors of the teaching and non teaching staff, guardians and the local people, the school is developing rapidly to fulfill the expectations.
