Sashadanga F.P School. This school is situated in remote village beside Bangladesh Border. It is at Sashadanga at Gaighata at North 24 Parganas,West Bengal. This school was set up on 1st April 1953 and got recognition. At that time the school had onlyb one room. Which was made up of tin and bamboo. For the set up of this school, the required land was given by some kind villagers. Among them the namess of Lt. Aviram Mondal & Lt.Tarapada Mondal must mentioned. The dag no. of the land-101,107 & 108 and Khoitan no. 823,Mouza-Sashadanga. Total area of the land is 33shotok. Another villager Jagannath Sarkar also gave away five kathas in the memory of his late son. The first teacher of the school is Kalipada Mondal, Joygopal Chakroborty & AMALENDU Sarkar. In the year of 1961 some construction of the school was developed. Latter,In the year of 1998,Mr.Babulal Sarkar joined in this school as an assistant teacher. At that time there was only one class room of 50ft. by 16ft. The wall was made up of bricks with a roof of tin,earthen floor without any chair,table. The innocent villagers keep their goat andcows in the school premises. Then head teacher with the other teachers solved this problem. We cleaned the entire school and tried our level best to make the school suitable for the students and the teachers. In 2000 the school building was repaired. In 2001 Head Teacher took retirenment and I was given the charge of the temporary Head teacher Subhanu Chowdhury was with me. In 2002 from the Sarba Siksha Mission a Pucca classroom was constructed. It's present name is Bharat Pathik. In 2002 the assistant  teachers Subhanu Chowdhury suddenly passed away. Then Babulal Sarkar was the only Teacher. In 2004 an ex-serviceman teacher Gopal Chandra Mondal was appointed as an assistant teacher in the school. In 2005 Babulal Sarkar took the change of a permerant Head Teacher and in 2006 another energetic young teacher Mr.Dipankar Mondal came to the school as an assistant teacher. In 2007 a para teacher was appointed named Goutam Roy. In the mean time from the Sarba Siksha Mission two more classrooms are constructed. The teachers of this school started computer learning programme in our school. We had three computer. This intiative in a primary school was a news in our district. We are encouraged by the school department. In 2012 we got another classroom. Day by day the number of the students started to increase. Not only from this village but also from other neighbouring villages students started to admit to this school. The gurdians showed their interest. We were encouraged to dream big and to motivate ourselves to hold a position in our state in school education. With the help of the villagers the teachers made the school an ideal place for the little childrean. The electricity connection,the running water connection were set up. Beautiful toilets and latrines were constructed. A huge number of flower trees were planted for the beautification of this school. In 2012 this school was awarded with the Nirmal Vidyalaya Award. In 2015 the school won Best School Award in district level and in 2016 the school awarded by the Highest Award of West Bengal Govt. JAMINI ROY PURASKAR. As an head teacher of the school Mr.Babulal Sarkar was awarded with the SIKSHA RATNA AWARD in 2019. Now a days the total number of the students is 193,we are Sfour teachers and two madams in our school. Among them Prodip Mondal,Prodip Biswas Arpita Adhikary joined in 2014 and Keya Gayen in 2017.The students of the school get chance to flourish their talent in the field of Recitation, Singing, Dancing Acting,Drawing and Playing. Overall there mentalbroughtness. Really we fell proud to be a part of the model school.
