History

In the year 1968 the institution started with a handful of girls . Bereft of a building ,the classes were held in the adjoining boys' school .Slowly as more and more girls realised the need for education and joined the school, a separate new building only for girl students came up in the vicinity as a Junior High School in the year 1992 . With the help of well wishers of the locality , guardians and teachers, the school building is now teeming with students . It has been upgraded to a High School and Higher Secondary School in 2004 and 2019 respectively. It is now an important school at the heart of Barasat, tirelessly serving the cause of education for the betterment of the upcoming generation so that they live in a world where "knowledge is free and head is held high" and  "the clear stream of reasoning has not lost the way". It is successfully competing with others school at sports ,quiz, science exhibition, youth parliament etc and has turned out to be an esteemed and prestigious institution at Barasat. The students have dazzled Bright in academics too, securing a highest of 95% at Madhyamik in the year 2020. Behind all the successes lies sheer determination, love, support, guidance and encouragement of all the teachers, staff and well wishers of the school and the quote "Where there is unity there is always victory" has been rightly proved by all the stakeholders representing the school.
