Hatthuba Kalibala Kanya Vidyapith School is one the renowned school in the heart of Habra. The quoted lines written by great poet Rabindra Nath Tegore , is very much appropriate to describe our school. To the students a school is like her mother-land, where not only she get to learn necessary things but also her childhood instincts get chance to flourished itself in the pleasant environment.

Late Sachindralal Kargupta (1905-1975), the soul of Gram Seva Sangha and a freedom-fighter, was the founder of the school. He basically established the school in 1962 for stranded refugees (immigrants from East Pakistan now Bangladesh) to promoted women’s education. Late Gobardhan Paul, a well-acquainted philanthropist of contemporary Habra, had a great contribution behind this project to execute. He donated the land where the school building is situated. The School Kalibala Kanya Vidyapith was named after her mother’s name. the school was affiliated as secondary school in 1963 and promoted as higher secondary in 2000.
