History

This school was established during 1952.  The school started its register academic functioning from 01 Apr 1954. Late Subodh Chowdhury of Village Sreenagar, P.S. - Habra was the first Head  Teacher  of  this  school.  He  was  one  of  the  respected  founder  personality  of  the village.  That time there was no primary school at the village.  Later  a  Junior  High  School  was  recognized  to this  village. Sreenagar and converted to a High School upto class X. Sreenagar Bastuhara GSFP School is situated at  village  Sreenagar  of  Habra  Municipality  of  District  North  24  Parganas.  At  the  time  of foundation  this school  had  no proper pakka (concrete) building.  Thereafter till date this school got additional 3 rooms, 1 kitchen, 2 sets toilets for boys and girls from Sarbo Siksha Mission.
