History

Kayangarh Balika Bidyalaya  , an emblem of progress , was established in 1950 in persuance of spreading the light of education to girls in the locality.

Some generous education lovers of the locality helped the dream come true .

The school was acknowledged to provide education to local girl students  with recognition from School Education Department of W.B. government in 1953, w.e.f 1.01.1954.

A number of 20 teachers were sanctioned at the very beginning .

The school was a small one storey partially pacca building then .

The roll strength of students was increasing day by day and the then management realised to enlarge it as an H.S institution. For their utter effort the school

was upgraded as H.S school in 1987 with different optional subjects for the H.S students as well as some sanctional teaching posts .
