History

The school was established in the year 1960 by the effort of Sri Tarun Kanti Ghosh, hon'ble Minister and Kanti Ranjan Chattopadhyay, MLA of the then government. The place was primarily meant for Refugee camp. But many schools like Bidhan Chandra Vidyapith, Kalyangarh Sanskriti Sangha Siksha Niketan, Kalyangarh Vidyamandir and colleges like Netaji Satabarshiki Mahavidyalaya were established later along with this school. The school is situated just behind the Netaji Satabarshiki Mahavidyalaya and it is 2.3 km away from Ashoknagar Railway station.
