History

This school was established during 1942. The school started its academic functioning 24th December, 1942. The founder of the school was one of the respected personality of the village. That time there was no primary school at the village. Baigachi Junior Basic School is situated at ward no. 22 of Ashoknagar Kalyangarh Municipality, Baigachi in Habra-II Block of district North 24 Parganas. At the time of foundation, this school had no proper 'Pakka' (concrete) building. Thereafter till date school has got additional 5 rooms, 1 kitchen, 2 sets of toilets for boys and girls from 'Sarba Shiksha Mission' and one set toilet for boys and girls from O.N.G.C. There are no additional teachers room for the teachers.
