History

Aranyak Free JR. Basic School was started in 1962 and was founded by Amiya Banerjee. Five Teachers and 6 Students started the journey under a mango tree in a refugee populated area, Gaipur Dakshinpara, Gobardanga, and the First headmistress was Sandhya Mukherjee. In the future, Late Nitai Ganguly donated land for school foundation of approx 0.41 acre. Recognized and supported by the Government of West Bengal, the school was re-established on 12th Sept 1963 and the headmistress was Bani Mukherjee, who is still alive.
