Naihati Mahendra High School already completed its journey of 150 years. This prestigious educational institution has been imparting knowledge to one and all over a long period of time. It has been gifted the socity a number of gems like Sri Sri Anukul Chandra,Srijib Nrythistha,Samarash Basu,Saroj Bandyopadhyay,Panchanan Ghosal, Shyamal Mitra,dr.Shymal Bandhayopaddhyay,Dr. Shyamal Chattopadhyay,dr. Aryamitra De,Dr.Ratan kr. Nandi etc.This Institution promises to deliver such gems in every spheres of life in future.the journey started in the chandi mandop of the Banerjees,and after gradual transformation through the wheel of time it has got the shape that we see today. The dynamic duos- Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar and Mahaneahopadhyay Haraprasad Shastri tendered their sincerest efforts to put this Institution in the onbit of educational planetarium. In the 1868,under the patronage of Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar,this Instition started its journey as Anglo Vernacular School.dr.Mahandra Nath Bose,the first teacher of the Institution,donated his all money for the development of the Institution in the memory of her late mother Digambari Devi.Later the Institution was named after this noble man as Naihati Mahandra High School.
