
Sarbodaya is a term meaning “Universal uplift” or Progress of all. The term was used by Mahatma Gandhi as the title of his 1908 translation of John Ruskin's tract on political economy.
Sarbodaya Vidyalaya is located at Titagarh Railway Station. Sarbodaya is a primary school where students can study from class Pre Primary to class IV. It is established in 1960 and was recognised in 1969 by the West Bengal Council of Primary Education and the School Education Department, West Bengal.
The Sarbodaya society is based on equality and liberty. There is no room in it for unwholesome competition, exploitation and class hatred. It stands for the progress of all children irrespective of their caste and creed.
