History

In 1925 Uttam Chandra Upper Primary School was established at Gar Pukur by the help of Narendra Nath Bageh, Manmathanath Sadhukha and Shibtala Unnayan committee.

Later in 1946 the present land of Uttam Chandra Upper Primary School was bought for the rupees 1000 and was established Manmathanath Boys school.

With that fund which was contributed by the person who kept the knowledge in their heart and established a school consisting of three rooms at Shibtala. Today this building is popularly known as Uttam Chandra Primary School. Later a second floor was added to the building. From 2006 to 2007 till today the foundation of the building was completed utilizing the fund of ACR.
