Ichapur morning girls’ school was established in 1968 as a two class junior high school with 5 teachers including HM. In 1971 the school was upgraded to 4-class junior high.Ten years later in 1982 the school expanded till class 10 w.e.f 1.1.83 and finally in 2009 the school was upgraded to Higher Secondary under the new name of Ichapur Academy from 2013. The school caters to students from an underprivileged background many of whom are first generation learners. The Head Mistress and staff provide special attention to the children and mid-day meal is also provided. The school also has vocational courses in viii+ level & x+2 level. The school imparts education as well as auxiliary skills.
