The foundation stone of the school was laid on a wintry morning of 7th January 1954. The resident of the then period of Anandamath, who were mostly displaced people from the erstwhile East Bengal, now Bangaladesh, felt crying need of a school for the education of their children. Their relentless endeavour gave birth to a sapling which ultimately grew up into a large tree, the present school, nurturing the children of the locality as well as neighbouring areas. The school remembers the founding fathers with gratitude and honour.
