
This School was established on 1st July 1964 by Local Telugu Speaking people for their wards. They contributed and purchased land and donated it for school. This School is in the Suburban area of North 24 Paraganas district of West Bengal at 67 Harish Chandra Dutta Road of Panihati, Kolkata - 700 114, beside the St. Xavier Institution under the jurisdiction of Panihati Municipality. It falls under Khardah South Circle of North 24 Paraganas District Primary School Council and Panihati Municipality. The School started its academic functioning from 1st July, 1964. Then it was recognized by the Govt. of West Bengal on 14th August, 1965. At that time there was no Telugu Medium Primary School at Sodepur. Sri T. Gopal Rao was the firtst Head Teacher of this School. At that time this school is run by Two Teachers only. The other one is Sri B. Laxman Rao. After their retirement Sri P. Krishna Rao came to this school by transfer and acted as Teacher-in-charge. He runs the school as a single Teacher for 5 years. Before his retirement Sri Tutika Suresh Kumar was appointed as an Assistant Teacher. They both worked together for 1 year. After retirement of Mr. P. Krishna Rao in the year 2010, Mr. Tutika Suresh Kumar holds the office and became Teacher-in-charge and runs the schoolo by a single teacher till yet. At the time of foundation this school had no pucca building ( concrete). However, This school got 1 Additional Class Room, 1 Toilet grant in the year 2009, and Kitchen Shed in 2012 by Sarva Siksha Mission. We follow the Govt. Rules and orders strictly. We can proudly to say that our Ex-Students became Engineers, Branch Managers of some Nationalised Banks, Railway Employees and officers of Central Govt. offices like Income Tax Department, Custom Department, Audit branch. Andhra Primary School is only the Telugu Medium School of Sodepur and Panahati Area.
