History

We pay our solemn tribute to that Great lady SASHIMUKHI GANGOPADHYAY, who donated her residential bunglow to establish the Primary section of this school and the adjacent land for H.S. section for spreading education among the financially backward section of boys and girls and after whose name the name of our school was also christened.

School started its journey with classes from V-VIII, Sri Mukul kumar Gangopadhyay as it's Headmaster. Later, the school upgraded upto Secondary Level by the utmost efforts of Sri Nripesh Chandra Sengupta, the then Secretary in 1996 and also upgraded further upto Higher Secondary(10+2) in 2014 with hearty co-operation from Sri Somnath Dey, also the then Secretary and at that time Sri Sandip Sengupta was Headmaster of our school. Inspite of inadequacy of infrastructure, the teachers and students are trying hard to strengthen the standard of the school.
