History

Ushumpur Vidyamandir, a State Government aided primary school is situated at Ramakrishna Paramhansa dev road, Ushumpur Pally under the jurisdiction of Ghola thana and Agarpara post office. The school is at Osmanpur block under Panihati Municipality and the only primary school at Ward no. 26. It is also one of the oldest and leading institutions under Khardah South Circle of North 24 PGS DPSC. Our school got it's affiliation from West Bengal Government in the year 1963 (01.01.1963) . The land on which the school has grown up was donated by Ushumpur Pally Committee and some of the respected local people had taken so much initiative to establish this school. Lt. Pranati Kumar Roy, Lt. Gour Gopal Roy Choudhury, Lt. Ananta Shil and Lt. Sukumar Chanda were among them. From then and on, our school is running steadily with little footsteps so that it can reach its goal to achieve the crown of most reputed Govt. Primary School in the state. We feel so much proud to say that many of our old students became doctor, engineers, WBCS officers and school teachers etc. Some of them are --

1. Prabir Singha (Doctor)

2. Subhodeep Sen (Software engineer)

3. Nilanjan Mukherjee (WBCS officer)

4. Sukanta Dutta (School teacher)

They all are the former students of our school. We feel very privileged to say that, our school has got the most prestigious "NIRMAL VIDYALAYA" award in the year 2013. The number of students is growing day by day. All the teachers of the school are professionally trained and always ready to give their best to the sake of proper and all round education of the students. All the government rules and orders are accurately followed by us strictly. And we hope that one day in near future, Ushumpur Vidyamandir will get the fame of best school in India.
